Assignment 8 - A Line: as a Relation to “My Body”
Break Out The theme of my piece centered around being in a confined space and breaking out of both your situation and your body. I did this piece almost 2 hours before my family was completely quarantined after we we're told my dad had covid, and I knew that I needed to do something with my family outdoors and something to motivate them going into another trying time. I did this by having each of my family members contribute somehow to the overall piece, whether use their hands or a paint brush, but still kept the "line" in the center of the piece to connect us all. It relates to how close we are together even when we we're about to be apart, and gave them the ability to use their bodies to release anything they felt like.
